Gene altering is a fairly new concept in the science of synthetic biology. Scientists have created a concept that basically goes in and edits the genetic code of certain organisms to improve inherited traits. This is able to be done through modern technology that tweaks the current DNA and takes out the code of an unfavorable trait and replaces it with a different sequence of code for something genetically enhanced. Due to its prevalence in the scientific world and seemingly endless benefits, this process has become cheaper in price and exceedingly more rapid since its debut. Since this is now becoming a major aspect of modern technology, many advancements and possibilities lie ahead of its creation. This poses many questions on its affects for humanity, society, and the scientific world as a whole.
